i would add the argument of independence. First you note an independence, for example, the independence of the continuum hypothesis, or the independence noted by Kant of certain philosophical notion from all possible experience. The argument from independence then says, okay, we really should only be interested in things in such-and-such domain of relevance. We agree that the thing you are talking about is outside that domain. So let's mark it as irrelevant, and stop talking about it.
