cool things to see
- transitions
- stare at the full moon without moving your eyes for awhile, it suddenly looks very close
- close one eye and look at city lights below while on a plane at night. in the right conditions, it looks like you are traveling through vast space
- play with poseidon (i.e. run into the waves and then out again)
- listen to airplanes flying overhead
- look at labeled bio pictures of things at the cellular level.
- look at mist
- watch clouds change; they change slower than you can perceive, so it looks like they don't change at all, but they do

things that don't make the cut:
- lightning (well known already)
- being stoned (controversal)
- sex (controversial)
- parts of math, music (too much like other best-of lists of which there are a million)
- ring around the moon sometimes (not cool enough)
- looking at clouds (well known)
- take care of something (too self-improvementish)
- surrealist art (best-of)
if this were published as a book, jonah, cotter, and me could be the "editors". but on the back cover, instead of our pictures, we would have a picture of a bong, raistlin, and morpheus. (or other cool stuff)
if published, it would be cool if there were a prime number of items in the list.
