This section contains my opinions on things. Other sections with different sorts of opinions in them include favorites, advice, and news and predictions.
These tend to be about topics that I consider to be of general importance, and tend to be slightly more cohesive than the other opinions pages[[image:although at the time of this writing they are still preliminary drafts?]].
There is some overlap between this section and the news and predictions section. In general, the purpose of news and predictions is to call other people's attention to things that I think they may want to know about. The purpose of this section is to give opinions, some of them predictive in nature. So, for example, news and predictions has sections that talk about technologies that i predict will be important, and macro-level environmental, social, political, or economic changes that may be happening -- but this section has my opinions on whether there will be a technological "singularity" and when.
